My mom's best friend's name is Petra, only she pronounces it "Pea-tra".

I do like Stella, but I can't help but think of the beer.
Petra is lovely.
Piper is ok...I just don't really get it as a name y'know? I think of the Pied Piper!
Salem...well the witch trials spring to mind of course, and the cat from Sabrina The Teenage Witch. My cat was also called Salem before we got him. So...to me it's a place name or a cat name! If it had to be used for a kid I think it'd work better on a boy.

I'd say Piper and Salem are off the table.
Stella and Petra are even to me.
What about the middle name?

Piper is gorgeous. Stella and Petra are both really pretty. I'm not at all keen on Salem.

I know one lady named Petra. When she was younger, her classmates called her "petri dish" and now she goes by Pete.

The name itself is alright, but I don't know that I'd ever give it to one of my daughters.

I like Piper. I know a girl named Piper. She plays the harp, which is kinda funny.

I voted Stella because thats my favorite, but I like all of them, except Salem

even if i thought Salem could be a name, I think it's too masculine

(Piper's the name of my other cat, which isn't a bad thing b/c i love my cats)

I hate Piper. Can you imagine a 30-year-old woman named Piper? Dr. Piper ______? Same goes for Salem.

I actually know some older Pipers, and it works fine, its not one of those names that is really childish when you hear it on a grown person, like Candy or something

I personally think it sounds silly on a grown woman, but that's just my opinion.

I also hate Piper, but I don't think it sounds any worse depending on the age. I just don't get names like this which have an obvious meaning or derivative, but it isn't actually a pleasant thing. I can understand using a name for a word if it is something like Summer, but why would you want to call your kid Piper? I hate occupation names in general, I don't see the point in naming someone a job title. It's not as bad as Hunter I suppose.

I like the others ok, I voted Petra.

Petra! It's wonderful, and it's not ridiculously popular, like Stella and Piper. Salem is awful, don't do it. But Petra is really lovely, and it will be a good name even when she gets old and gray :)

Stella, because that's what my cousin and his wife named their second daughter! Unless of course you live in the UK and it'd be associated with the beer.

I like the name Salem. That's the only one I actually like on the list... besides Stella, and of course.. I don't know if I like it for a childs name considering I automatically think of the beer.

even though I LOVE LOVE Petra, I voted for Stella because it seems to be a contest between Stella and Piper...and Stella reeeeally, reeeeeally wins that contest.

Petra looks like petrified or petrolium or something.
Stella reminds me of a stripper. =\
Piper is somewhere between okay and nice.
Salem is good for a cat.

Salem is a terrible city to be named after. The ONLY thing that comes to mind when you say Salem is the witch trials. Who wants that?
