[identity profile] sweatydog.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames

As I said in my last post, I grew up with an extremely common name with at least 5 other girls with the same name in my grade.Starting around the age of five or six I started coming up with names I wanted to change mine to;

Five years old;

Samantha ( I can't remember where this came from)
Nancy (yes Nancy drew)
Deva (like devil)

Thirteen years old;

Wendell
Eddward

at thirteen I also wanted to have twin boys and name them;

Joel Darren
Jose Warren

Current favorites;
Julian Davis
Penelope Rose.

What names did you like when you were a kid?

When I was a little girl my favorite name was Amy. I named all my baby dolls Amy Lynn, Amy Marie, Amy Lee, Amy Elizabeth, I actually used to complain to my parents and ask them why they didn't name me Amy.
My middle name is Rae, and I used to hate that, too. When I got older I started to like the name Rae, so then I started to think that if I had a daughter her name would be Amy Rae.

I still like the name Amy, but probably would not use it today. It was my top name for girls until I became an adult.

I also briefly took a liking to Adrianna because I was in a cemetary and I saw a baby's headstone with this on it.

I did consider Victoria Amy Briefly, but I like Victoria Jade much better.

Reminds me of my sister. She loved the name Rose when she was little, and named all of her stuffed animals and such that. :p
