May. 11th, 2007 05:16 pmhey I'm new on here. I've always had a fascination with names, maybe because my name is very rare where I live. My name is Martyna Rozalia. It's of Polish origin. Martyna is said the same way as Martina. Rozalia was my great-grandmother's name, said Row-zah-lee-ah.
Names I like:
Girls: Rozalia, Zalia (zah-lee-ah), Xanthea, Reah (ray-ah), Kyanna, Ellyce, Nika
Boys: Thaddeus (my grandfather's name was Tadeusz, Thaddeus is the English equivalent), Leon, Josef, Keideci (kay-de-see)
As I'm a primary school teacher, my choice of names is going to be limited by the time I have children! :) Some interesting names I've come across while teaching so far that come to mind:
Girls: Avalon, Cherokee, Dakota, Sammy-Joe, Chance
Boys: Parliament, Airport, Brock, Rock, Tubby, Vanci-boy
