All things bright and beautiful...
May. 9th, 2007 04:32 pmI love birds and animals, and when I was having my baby I thought about several names...
Most I didn't seriously think about but 'Wolfram' was popular with me and my ex for a boy.
Girls:
Skylark (or Skylar)
Linnet
Kestrel
Falcon
Tawny (Old Gypsy name and Owl obviously)
Merlyn (Merlin)
Nadette (courage of a Bear)
Nezumi (Rat/little mouse in Japanese)
Eleonora ('s)(small peregrine type falcon)
Boys:
Bran (Irish - Raven)
Wolfram (Wolf - Raven)
Felen (small Irish wolf)
Fenris (Wolf, son of Loki)
Gryffyn (Griffon)
Cullan (Irish 'Handsome young animal')
Corbin (Irish 'from Raven')
Byron (Anglo Saxon - Bear)
Saker (falcon)
Lanner(falcon)
Aquila (Latin - Eagle)

Date: 2007-05-09 05:28 pm (UTC)but Bran is a cereal, Fenris is the rather sinister wolf that eats the moon and brings about the end of the world, Cullan just sounds odd, as does Saker , Tawny seems like a porn star name, Falcon seems more like a name for a hippy boy and I think no child should be named Merlyn unless you think that being bullied forms character.

I know a Merlyn (female) and she wasn't bullied ;-P

those are the names i think are unique enough, yet not too 'out-there' as to cause immense picking-on in school
