I love birds and animals, and when I was having my baby I thought about several names...

Most I didn't seriously think about but 'Wolfram' was popular with me and my ex for a boy.

Girls:

Skylark (or Skylar)
Linnet
Kestrel
Falcon
Tawny (Old Gypsy name and Owl obviously)
Merlyn (Merlin)
Nadette (courage of a Bear)
Nezumi (Rat/little mouse in Japanese)
Eleonora ('s)(small peregrine type falcon)

Boys:
Bran (Irish - Raven)
Wolfram (Wolf - Raven)
Felen (small Irish wolf)
Fenris (Wolf, son of Loki)
Gryffyn (Griffon)
Cullan (Irish 'Handsome young animal')
Corbin (Irish 'from Raven')
Byron (Anglo Saxon - Bear)
Saker (falcon)
Lanner(falcon)
Aquila (Latin - Eagle)

I like Linnet and Bran, actually. They're different.

Linnet is pretty, so is Corbin

but Bran is a cereal, Fenris is the rather sinister wolf that eats the moon and brings about the end of the world, Cullan just sounds odd, as does Saker , Tawny seems like a porn star name, Falcon seems more like a name for a hippy boy and I think no child should be named Merlyn unless you think that being bullied forms character.

I like your boys names. Corbin is one of my all time favorite names. Bran too, only added recently ((I'm reading this wonderful series where one of the main characters, and little boy, is named Bran. It's a nickname for Brandon, I think, but I like just Bran.))

For the girls, I like all but Merlyn, Falcon, and Nezumi.

those are the names i think are unique enough, yet not too 'out-there' as to cause immense picking-on in school

I like Remus and Sirius, not even on a Harry Potter basis, and I know that sounds like a bunch of lies, since I have a HP icon, but I really do like those names

I actually quite like Bran and Corbin... Although I'd consider using a longer name rather than just calling a boy 'Bran' such as Brandon, Branson, Brandt, Branley... I don't know, I was just making most of those up!

Corbin Gabriel is a name I think sounds great

Yeah I'm not as big on "Bran" on its own, but I've always thought the girl's name Branwen/Branwyn was nice-- white/beautiful raven.
