Somewhere to share my indulgence!

This community is fantastic! I'm not planning to have kids for ages yet, but I'm obsessed with choosing names. In fact, I think I should have a job naming people's babies/pets/houseplants...

After years of vetoing each other's choices (he wanted Lazarus!) my husband and I have decided on Willoughby Jonathan for a boy (Jonathan is my little brother's name). Naming girls can be much more imaginative! I currently love:

Kaliadne (kal-ee-add-nee, a greek name)
Bethlehem (I'm not religious, but it's so pretty)
Meredith
Willow

I love reading everyone else's choices/ideas!

Kaliadne is beautiful. I looked it up after seeing your post. The Greek name for a naiad-daughter of Neilos, the Greek personification of the river Nile. Such a pretty name. I'm adding it to my list of favorites.

you could also consider Bethany, it sounds similar but is a little more common. ironically its also religious - its the town outside of Jerusalem where Lazarus was baptized! haha

With Kaliadne, which syllable gets the emphasis?

To give you fair warning, if I saw a a sib set "Willoughby" and "Bethlehem", I'd snark it in a heart beat. I do love Will or William, and Meredith is gorgeous, Willow is cute.

Noun:
Combination of "snide" and "remark". Sarcastic comment(s). Biting, cruel humor or wit, commonly used to verbally attack someone or something.

lol, I've had this community going for..I think 3 years? If I didn't snark, I'd go nuts and start lobbying for sterilization based on the sheer crap I've seen people burden their children with.

Snarking is good. Point to husband ;)
