May. 1st, 2007 08:47 pmI posted a few days ago, but i've been trawling through old posts and a lot of names have taken my fancy!
My name is Claire Louise by the way, i used to hate it. I forever wanted to change my name to Jessica when i was younger...and i'm so glad now i wasn't a Jessica. There are about three Jessicas in my year at school i think. I've never known another Claire or a Louise actually. My parents considered Elizabeth, April and Olivia before they chose Claire. [I am grateful they didn't name me April...i have a terrible word association with 'aprioct' every time i see that name lol].
I'm not so good at pairing them together to make first and middle combos
Boys names...vague order [I have far less of these]:
Oliver
Michael - i love this, but i do not want a kid nicknamed Mike. Urgh.
Damien
Marley
Cameron - family name, three syllabyl pronounciation preferably.
I always used to love Oakley. My dad kinda forbid me from calling a boy that though lol. i've no idea what i might shorten it to though, or if i'd need to.
Combinations i like:
Oliver Michael // Oliver Marley
Damien Cameron
~~~
Girls names in a vague sort of order of what i like most to what i like least:
Heidi
Annie
Zona - pronounced Zoh-nah [not zon-a]
Raine/Rain - someone else suggested this in another post, i love it.
Bailey
Charlie
Audrey - seems a well loved one in this community
Greta - pronounced Greht-ah, not Greet-a [meaning 'pearl']
Amelie or just plain Amy - another best friends name, Amy/Aimée means loved [french].
Riley
Addison - nn addie/addy?
Olivia - fairly common now though
Holly - i used to LOVE this name, it feels a little overused now because my best friend's name is Holly.
Ivy
Aralyn
Hazel
Frankie - would this possibly be a bit cruel lol. i thought it was cute once upon a time, now i am not so sure.
i would also consider Marley and Cameron for girls names, especially Marley.
Combos i like:
Zona Riley // Zona Heidi // Zona Catherine
Bailey Addison/Addison Bailey
Heidi Rain //
Annie Claire
Any comments/other names i could combine with these for nice first/middle names?
There really needs to be a Catherine and a Cameron somewhere, for family reasons. The other family name is Ian, which i'm not really partial to.
Date: 2007-05-01 01:04 pm (UTC)But don't worry, you haven't technically met me so you can still say you have never met another Claire! I have met heaps, in Australia born in the 80s, but it's still not really an extremely common name I guess.
