Adeline- very pretty
Adelaide- Would like more if it wasn't part of the place for names trend. But I do like it.
Addison- eh.. don't care for.
Ameile- You mean Amélie, if you do then I love it,
Anne(abelle)- I don't like Anne but I LOVE Anabelle.
Aurore(/a)- Love Aurora.
Eloide- I would pronounce that as El-oyd which is odd.. I like Elodie or Eloise though.
Elizabeth- Boring.
Hawthorne <--- It makes me think of this cartoon where baby mice were killed and spiked on a hawthorne bush :-(
Katherine (Kate)- Realyl hate katherine, don't mind Kate.
Lyra- Love, I know a baby Lyra & I adore Northern Lights.
Rosaline- Don't like.
Rosalind- Prefer
Rosamund- Hate
Rose- Boring.
Boys:
Christian- Hate, too religious.
Edouard (Edward)- hmmm don't care for.
Elias- like
Henry- like
Matthias- Like a lot, a lot more than Matthew.
Oscar- Cute
Tobias- I like Toby, but not Tobias.

Date: 2007-05-01 12:59 pm (UTC)I lol'd when I saw your Hawthorne comment, not because the mice died, but because it was so random.
I agree that Elizabeth is boring, but it is stable and people know how to spell it. That is one thing that my mum has drummed into me, always name your child something that people dont have to ask you how to spell (because she got annoyed at having to spell her name out all the time)
And I spelt Elodie wrong. Go me.

Date: 2007-05-01 05:53 pm (UTC)My name is Sophy. Not Sophie :-/ It's so so annoying having to introduce myself as 'Sophy with a Y'
But I prefer names that are not as popular and common as Elizabeth yet not so out there people wouldn't know how to spell them.
You have a couple of lovely ones on your list :-)
My favourite name is Anabelle, trouble is there are other ways to spell it. Annabel, Anabell etc.. and I adore Anabelle, a bit of a random one.
