See and that is my thought on Bryghton. It's different. I didn't even know Brighton was a place until someone esle said it was. SO what if the kid is going to have to correct someone on the spelling of it. My name is Kimberly and I get asked how to spell it.


And I work in a medical office so I always ask people how to spell their name even if it is a common name just to make sure its correct.

LOL, almost every name is a place somewhere, and they aren't all spelled or pronounced the same. One really pretty place name around here is Ravenna, I've liked it since the day I passed the exit sign on the highway :o)

I also have a job where I have to write down people's names. I get so many looks when someone has a common name and I ask how to spell it, they act like I'm the one who's ignorant. Sorry, but there is more than one way to spell most names!

I had an elderly lady look at me like I was insane when I asked her how to spell 'Ann' and she was rude about it she asked me how in bloody hell do I think she spelt Ann and me being the smart-ass I am said well there is "a-n-n" or "a-n-n-e" or "a-i-n-e"
