Hi! I'm doing a project on names and I'm trying to get an opinion about certain names. If you want, could you please tell me what you think of the following names and what they remind you of? Thank you very much!

Constance: Old-fashioned.
Christine: Ditzy.
Elanor: Rigby.
Elizabeth: My Grandmother.
Emily: Too popular right now.

I just don't like "Alex." Alexander is one of our middle names because no one ever shortens middle names. When I hear "Alex" I think of Alex P. Keaton. ;)

I know someone with a baby named Alexander that they've shortened to Xander. But if he grew up and wanted to be called Alex you'd be stuck with it.

i actually picked alexander because i can call him 'lex' too. i love that name. it's sexy in a way and i hope my baby gets all kinds of girls whenever he's like 18

Constance: Very beautiful.
Christine: My middle name :) and my grandmother's name. I like it.
Elanor: Prefer spelling Eleanor
Elizabeth: Loathe.
Emily: Too common. I like the name Emmylou or Emilene...similar, but they're actual names.
Ida: I prefer Iona.
Joy: NMS
Linda: I have a friend named Linda, I just don't like it, though
Megan: Horrible bastard of a name. Gross.
Nora: I really like this name, I also like Nona Mae...(similar)
Penelope: One of my favorites, nickname Poppy
Vanessa: Pretentious
Wendy: Cute.
Sebastian: One of my favorite boys names
Winston: Churchill....it's okay.
Victor: It's okay...but now It reminds me of "house of wax" (see the movie)

Jack: Kind of boring, but...classic. I like it

Francis: My great-grandma's name (well, Frances, the feminine form) but I like it. He could always be called Frank.
Ernest: Goes to Camp!! Not a fan.
Emmet(t): I like it
Cornelius: Love it. And his nickname could be Neeley, if you like that.

Elanor- my first thought is to spell it Eleanor. 2nd is of an old lady
Elizabeth- Elizabeth Taylor
Emily- I love this name, but sadly it's very popular

Joy- peace and happiness

Constance - This is a definate old lady name
Christine - a really nice classic name - could be an older lady or a career woman or a pretty young girl
Eleanor - another classic name
Elizabeth - and another classic - this one is so versatile and has a lot of nicknames
Emily - a young girl's name
Ida - old lady
Joy - someone really religious
Linda - a 50s mom name
Megan - a cheerleader kind of name
Nora(h) - an older lady
Penelope - an older lady
Vanessa - someone artsy
Wendy - a middle-aged lady
Sebastian - artistic
Winston - pretentious
Victor - could either be an older man or someone very intellectual and artsy (and young)
Oliver - same as Victor - either very Old World or artistic and bohemian
Mark - someone very steady
Kevin - kind of trendy and popular
Jack - basic all-purpose name
Henry - an old man name
Francis (for a boy) - probably Catholic!
Ernest - definately an old man name
Emmet(t) - uneducated
Cornelius - another old man name
Alexander - Could be a young man (or a boy) or an older man.

Constance: Old and rigid
Christine: the Phantom of the Opera
Elanor: Roosevelt
Elizabeth: pretty/intelligent. Best of both worlds
Emily: Blonde and popular
Ida: Idaho--unfortunate
Joy: a little blonde girl
Linda: Ordinary middle aged woman
Megan: flirty and girlie
Nora: Tomboy--my kid sis is Nora and she has a gorgeous shaved head :-P
