I adore Shakesperean names, and honestly I couldn't recall this name from any of his plays so I looked it up and it says it is... perhaps it was a very small role? I just studied this play a few months ago *embarrassed*
Either way... really not my tastes... it reminds me of "curing meat" - not a pretty picture
My first thought was made up too, but since I read that Leith is a family name for you, it made me warm up to it. Curan - Shakespeare or not- doesn't sit well with me, not really liking it. Is it 'cure-in', or 'cur-in'? either way, it's a little too odd-ball for my taste, sorry!
I actually met a woman called Leith last year. I don't mind it for male or female.
Curan brings up so many negative connotations for me though, because it has "cure" in it so it sounds like the name of something medicinal... then I thought of Curash, which I think is for nappy rash.... and curing meat.

Date: 2007-04-05 02:59 am (UTC)OP: Are you sure? I don't recall a Curan. And I've read a lot of Shakespeare.
My google-fu might be off, but I've got nothing.
On the name itself, I can't decided if I love it or hate it.
