We've decided on a name!

Layla Renee Anthony

After reading the responses to Portia, we decided to avoid the negative connotations [the car, the "pig" reference] and go with our original choice, Layla. So in about a month and a half, my husband and I will be welcoming little Layla Renee or Jack Maverick Anthony. Thanks for all your help!

haha Thanks. I read a post on here about the name Maverick and the more I thought about it, the more I liked it. But what really made me choose it is [and I'm almost embarrassed to admit it] that my favorite basketball team is the Dallas Mavericks. =/

I know! I love Dirk too. He's awesome. The more I watched of their games, the more the name Dirk started to grow on me, but my husband said no way to that. =p

Jack is one of my favorite boys names, and Maverick is fast becoming one. While reading your post, I said to my boyfriend, "Hey, hun, isn't Jack Maverick a cute name?" He says, "What? Jack Rabbit?" ::sigh:: (But, he also wasn't fully paying attention to what I said being he more interested in his bowl of cereal). Still, I think it's a cute name! :)
