Hey!  First, I just wanted to say how much I love this community.  I've had quite a few names picked out since I was about 16 or so.  Anyway, my boyfriend and I are not expecting, but we're planning on getting married and starting a family soon.  We've already discussed kids names, and we've agreed on a boy name and a girl name so far, but I'm still suggesting new names to him.  I just wanted to get other opinions.  His last name starts with a D and is 2 syllables.

What do y'all think of:

Brianna Catherine
Bryan Christopher (those are the two we both like)

I also like - Olivia Lorraine (But her initials would be OLD, so that's not an option anymore!  lol)
Madelyn Brooke
Ariel (Maybe Arielle?) ________  (Any suggestions?  He loves Ariel, but I can't find a good mn for it!)

I also picked out a name that I LOVE, but so far only two people have agreed that they think it's cute.
Brianna Whitley _______
The reason behind this is that my dad passed away in '05, so I want something that will make us think of him.  My dad and I both love country music, specifically old country music, like Keith Whitley.  I love the name Whitney also, but I associate that with people I don't really like.   So I thought Whitley was close enough to Whitney for me to love it, it'll make me think of my dad because we both love Keith Whitley, and it's also a little different.  So....what do y'all think?

Brianna Whitley sounds nice, and I think your reasons are sweet. And, I think Whitley could work for a lot of other names too (like Sophia Whitley).

I like Ariel. You have to be creative with the middle name I think.
My sisters name is Ariel and her middle name is Kyrie.

My best friend in primary school was called Brianna, and her middle name was Lorna (pretty old fashioned, but it worked) but when she had her confirmation, she chose Catherine as her extra name (not sure what it's officially called as I'm not Catholic!).

I'm not a big fan of the name Whitney (some unpleasant associations), but if Whitley has personal significance to you, then go for it!

Heh, I remember when we used to call Brianna Bri-Bri for "short", when it's really such a mouthful.
