I'm a big name nut - altho I'm not pregnant (yet). My husband and I are buying a home soon and I hope to start TTC #2 shortly after. Our daughter, Shanley Elisabeth, is 2.5. Shanley is pron. Shan-Lee.

Just curious what people think of my 2 favorite names at the moment:

Cadence Faye - Cadence has been my #1 girl name for about 6 months now; Faye for my grandmother, Ethel Faye, who died of cancer when I was 12. Possible Nickname: Cady

Andre Sebastian - Andre is the only boy name that my husband and I have *ever* agreed on. He has a French Canadian background so he likes it for that reason alone. Sebastian because, well, it just flows good - no other reason. Open to suggestions on this MN. Possible Nickname: Dre

I'll be honest. The only reason why I don't like the name Cadence is because of American Wedding. But, it is cute and it goes well with Faye.

And, I love the boys name Andre Sebastian.

Ya, after that movie TONS of people started naming their daughters Cadence. It's not that it's a bad name, but of all movies to name a kid after they use a teenaged movie to do so. It's just the maturity level of the movie, I guess...

Cadence is my favorite girls' name, and it's recently grown in popularity. Andre is nice, but I don't love it. Sebastian, I like though.
