I am thinking of baby names for twins girls we have Lilia picked for one of the girls, what do you think of Luella is that too simliar sounding for sisters?
Rosalba is totally cute but just keep in mind that in some Latin America countries it is kind of a "ghetto" name, like the name of someone from a poor village, and people make fun of it. Although I have nothing against that and find it possibly cuter because of that, I just thought you might want to take that into consideration ; )
LOL I know, I guess I was hoping someone would find a really good reason why they weren't too similar. Luella is a fairy name and Lilia I made up taking it from Lilith dagnamit and I bet after 9 months of stressing about names they'll end up hating them anyway :P
Yeah *sigh* I'm afraid I agree which sucks cause I like both of them but we have had Lilia from about the third month along so def sticking with that one
Thanks! I love the name too and usually I hate it when people shorten names but I don't mind the nickname Lilly which goes with it so I am def sticking with Lilia... now all I need is one more *sigh* its so hard!
I love Amalia in fact we where playing around with Amele for awhile but I was worried cause I thought people wouldn't listen and call her Amy or Emily. I personally wanted Amalia but my partner doesn't like it and was willing to go with Amele so basically we have removed that from the list cause neither of us where satisfied with it... (still wanted Amalia though... perhaps I should go back with it again it has been three months since we talked about that one LOL)
Oh I like the pronounced lou-SHA, worried about having two L's cause when they're in school being twins they will have the same initials, but I like it, I will talk to my partner about it when he finishes work this avo - thanks!
I think it's almost too much, but not so bad. They're similar enough, but have different emphases. Like.. Alana and Alena would be horrible. Lilia and Luella.. similar without being totally over the top. Don't pair Gillian with Lilia though!
Yeah I have already told John Gillian is NOT Lilias middle name, he wanted it as that cause I chose Lilia and Gillian is my mums name too but I was worried there'd be not only a clash but a this one if more mine feel LOL. I like Lewellen, I like names spelt as they sound.
I couldn't figure out how to say it, but really, the 'L' sounds in both names are totally different. One is 'lih' and 'il' and the other is 'luh' and 'el'.
Yah, if I were having twins I wouldn't want one name to be 'mine' and the other to be 'his'. I don't see us having twins, but right now our 2 top girl names are both half mine/half his and we came up with our boy names together.
