Another of my colleagues had a baby this week - well, his wife did.

The name is:

Harry Joseph

What do you think? I always associate Harry with cocky posh boys. Also, the surname begins with R so I think when you say Harry (surname) there are too many R sounds... Apart from that I think its nice enough, if not really my style.

i really don't want to start another stressed/unstressed whatever vowel thread BUT harry and hairy sound exactly the same to me

how does harry sound not pronouced that way? i'm honestly curious

For a linguistics student, I'm actually crap at phonetics, but I say it more like happy (with Rs obviously, but the 'ha' part sounds the same as happy as opposed to hairy).
