What do you think of these names? Not as siblings just in general.

Girls:
Theda
Vada

Boys:
Nickus
Crispus

I say Theda thay-duh, so I don't know if someone says it different or whatever. My favorite name is Ada, so I'm looking at other options.

Theda's alright. Crispus sounds like Crispin, a name that I like. The other two? Not really my style.

Not really names I would choose. Crispus reminds me of Crispix the cereal.

Aha! I was wondering why I was thinking of cereal...

Theda - no.
Vada - no.
Nickus - no. I prefer Nicholas.
Crispus - that's all right, since it reminds me of Crispin.

Hate the boy names, like the girl names.

Girls:
Theda - Reminds me of a sorority.
Vada - Like the girl from the movie My Girl? Not bad.

Boys:
Nickus - Sounds like a 3 yr. old trying to pronounce Nicholas.
Crispus - I've heard this name used in history books.. back in the 1800s I believe. Not a name for nowadays I don't think..

I love Theda- but mostly because I love Theda Bara. I think it's an awesome name.
I also love Vada. So, yeah, both of your girl's choices are great!

Crispus sounds like a scientific classification for something at KFC.

I like Vada but not Theda, only because the hospital where I will be giving birth is called Theda Clark.

I was just thinking about the name Vada last night! I really like it. It's spunky but sounds okay for an adult too, and I love Vada in My Girl :) I don't like the other ones you listed.

I prefer it spelt Veda, like in My Girl. I hate the other names. I've never even heard of them.

Girls names are okay, but I'd spell Vada Veda.

And boy names- ew.

fwiw.. I love Crispin... mostly because of Crispin Glover, but I still don't like don't like Crispus and the names aren't similar enough in my mind.

Nickus sounds like knickers to me, sorry!

I don't like Crispus either, although Crispin is ok I guess, and Crispian is rather nice if a little pretentious sounding.

Thada is ok.

How would you pronounce Vada. If it's like Vah-duh it's alright I suppose, but you don't want people to think you named a kid after Darth Vader!
