help with middle names : )
Mar. 3rd, 2007 06:28 pmhello everyone : )
we are expecting our first little one, due in 8 weeks, yay! we don't know the gender.
so for a girl, we have
Alice
and for a boy
Edward
please suggest some middle names. despite the old names, we are not very traditional. my husbands first suggestion for a boy middle name was Mars, just to give you an idea of what I mean, lol.
ETA: The last name is two syllables and starts with an 'S'
(and if you've read Twilight, these names were actually picked out before I read the book...lol, it's just a coincidence!)
ETA AGAIN: thanks for all of the lovely comments : ) my husband has decided he is not 100% on Edward (I am so going to work on that!) but he does love Edward Mars and he chose Alice Jack for Alice. Lol. I think it's kind of neat, having a boy name for a middle name, and it's after his grandfather. I did say he could choose whatever he wants...hehe!)

Date: 2007-03-05 10:59 am (UTC)Just wanted to say, although I don't super-love either name, we'll probably be using Alice and Edward at some point. Edward is my husband's middle name and we think we'll use it as a middle name for Jonah. I really didn't use to like it, but it's grown on me. My husband is a third and we don't want to continue that and we don't like his first name, Albert, so it's the logical choice.
Alice is one of his favorites, the other being Mary. I can't handle Mary as it has the same nn for my name and is a nn for my name, but we're trying to figure Alice in there somewhere.
Anywho, nice names.
male middle names
Date: 2007-03-05 01:33 pm (UTC)my daugher is kayleigh james and goes by "jimi". i'd love to continue the tradition of a girl first name with a male middle name for our next one, due in july.
