thanks :) We're putting Eleanor on top of our girls' list for sure and I really like Sophie as well and am trying to convince my fiance to put it on the girls' list as well.
Sophie is okay but I would probably prefer with Sophia as it sounds more grown up for the future...and Sophie could still be used as a nn. I'm not crazy about Eleanor, but it does sound very distinguished and has cute nn possibilities. They're cute together.
that's good to know. I totally understand what you mean about association because part of the reason that I like Eleanor is that I have never met anyone by that name so it has no associations for me.
I didn't mean they were straight from one of her books, I meant it sounded like the types of names she used for sisters. Trust me: I know my Jane Austen characters. lol
lol I was only teasing, hence the winky face. The funny thing is that my fiance suggested Eleanor Jane as a combo, now that sounds REALLY Jane Austen-ish to me! But that just actually makes me like it more lol
