Ok... our name for a boy is non negotiable. It's going to be Nathan Earl if it's a boy. Nathan... just because we like it, and Earl because it's a family name.

If our baby happens to be a girl, we're going for Julia. We were going to go for Lynn for the middle name, but I don't know... Julia Lynn... there's too many "L" sounds there.

So what do you suggest as a middle name for Julia?:) We don't want to go with either Marie or Rose. They were names we thought of earlier in my pregnancy, but dismissed for personal reasons.

I agree with this strategy, particularly if your last name is at all common. I think it's good thinking to pair a common first name with something a little more unusual in the middle.

And please, no Grace. No Grace.

You could do "Julia Pearl", it's super close to "Earl", and flows nicely.

I also like:
Julia Iris
Julia Tyne
Julia Brooke

... really TONS of names sounds really nice with "Julia". I really like it with a 1-syl. middle name though.

Okay, just thinking of names of people I know that would sound good with Julia

Julie Renee
Julia Lizette
Julia Anne
Julia Elizabeth
Julia Annalise
uh.. can't think of anything else

Lol.. I actually think Grace, Rose, and Marie go really well with Julia. :)

If I were using Julia, I might go with a fun unusual middle name.
