hello i am new here... i just found out a few weeks ago i was having a girl. but i am so tired of lookin for a name...does that make me a bad person? i have done nothin but look at names since i was 6 weeks preg. and i am now 23weeks. i like names that aren't that popular. i just dont want it to be like 20 people in her class all with the same name. if that makes sence. i like these names:

Jayden
Makayla
Makenna
Alyssia

my boyfriend has three other kids there names are

Austin Michael
Cameron James
Emily Jade

i like alyssia but i dont know. because thats his ex wifes brothers daughters name. and i dont know if i want to name her that.
so any suggestions??

i m leanin more toward jayden but i dont know what sounds good for a middle name. please help.

I like Jayden also.. could be a boy or a girl name

Jayden Michael for a boy sounds good together; as does Jayden Marie for a girl

personally, im not a fan of then whole -aden,-ayden thing. It's really popular now so if you name her Jayden, theres a good chance there will be both boys and girls with the name Jayden or Kaden, or whatever have you.

I do like Alyssia a lot though.

I think Jayden is good too, but I think all the names you picked out are going to be pretty popular. Maybe you should try a different spelling, like Jaiden or Jadyn. If you like Makayla, maybe you like Micah too? Alyssia is sweet but maybe you could try Alysan or Arissa. And middle names for Jayden:

Jayden Arie (I hate Marie as a middle name, everyone has that as a middle name.)
Jayden Elijah (I like boys names for girls too)
Jayden Shay
Jayden Emily *an homage to her sister*
Jayden Kelis
Jayden Rae
Jayden Amaya

Lots of things sound good with Jayden!

Yeah- I second that- me included LOL I had only ever heard of one other Jaden, and that was 3 years ago, now there are TONS of them around :( We named our daughter Jaden Makayla - she was born in January. Jaden was the 75th most popular BOY name in 2004. And I know several Jayden's that are boys- everybody was like that is a boys name, but I love Jaden (I wanted Jadyn) for a girl.

Makayla and Makenna are really popular right now. I worked at a daycare for several years and saw several girls with these names, and other variations on the "Mak" sound.

Jayden is a newer name although it could become more popular - two women I know plan on naming their daughter Jayden (or Jaiden).

I've never heard Alyssia before - it's pretty.

not trying to be a snob, because the internet sure can make a little criticism sound that way, but those 4 girl names you wrote are VERY popular. maybe not the exact spelling, but that's why a lot of parents think they're giving their child a unique name, but it's actually a very very popular one with one letter changed.

how about jada? Makayla has a bit of a hawaiian feel to it, maybe you want to research hawaiian names. I think you'd like some. A lot of the people in here could give you examples, too.

Jayden for a girl would be a change. The only time I've heard of Jayden being used is for a boy but it could work just as well for a girl if that's really the name you like.

Actually, around here anyway, those names are really popular (Jayden for both girls & boys). =/ Just a heads up.

If you like the name & can get past thinking of his ex's niece then go for it. I'm guessing you probably don't see her much if at all anyway. Then again, it might be a little confusing for your boyfriend's other kids.

My niece's name is Jayden Kay. =)
Good luck- it took us until I was 31 weeks to agree & decide on a name!

I like Jayden (I actually prefer Jaidan, pronounced the same way) Rose. I think that'd be gorgeous :)

Also, some middle names & spelling variations for Makayla, Makenna & Alyssia:

Makayla - MaKailah, MaKayla, Mahkaila, Makaylah, Makaila, etc.
Makenna - Makena, MaKenah, Mekenah, MeKenna, Makenah, etc.
Alyssia - Elissia, Elyssia, Elisia, Alysia, Alisia, etc.

I like Makailah Rose(I love that as a middle name for so many first names)
Mekenah Braye
Alisia Cate

just some thoughts.
