Out of sheer boredom, I was hanging around myspace and checking out all of my friends pages. One click led to another and I was on some random person's page. I noticed he had a daughter, ect. But when I read the caption underneath the photos of his daughter, my eyes bled a little. I couldnt believe it and needed further confermation. And sadly, after finding his wife's page I realized it was true.

These people had named their poor little daughter Jazzman. It still hurts my eyes and head to look at it.

First of all, I am not a fan of the name Jasmine. Secondly, that spelling looks like a last name. Finally, she's going to get teased for being a 'man' and a 'Jazz man.' Hey Jazzman, do you like Jazz?

I couldnt get that out of my head either!! All I see is Jazz Man, not Jasmine (which I agree on this with you, I dont even like the name to begin with). It just seems so....tacky and uneducated.

I guess if you say it super fast, it SORT of sounds like "Jasmine." Not sure if that was the logic there...if it was, they both need help. Regardless...they both need help.

Im gonna go out on a limb and say that maybe they werent from a very populated community and thought they were being cultural? God, I hope so. Or at least that it isnt a family name ::gigglesnort::

Well maybe the already had a kid in their family named Jasmine, and one named Jazlyn, and one named Jazabella, and couldn't bear to be left out. We have to give people the benefit of the doubt even if they are dumb, that's what makes us the good guys. ;)

Its the only thing I see. I feel terrible for that poor kid and I wish I had a single clue as to why they named her that.
