I'm down to the last few chapters of a popular book called "The Time Traveler's Wife" (Audrey Niffenegger) and the two main characters have just had a baby. Her name?
I personally wouldn't use it (my taste tends to be more traditional), but I know of a few people in this community who enjoy unusual names, so I thought I'd post it.
I like it well enough, there are prettier names but there is nothing really wrong with it. There are so many ways 'Alba' is used though and that's the only problem I can see, some people might think of the surname, others might think of Scotland and so on.
I like it a lot. I was thinking of using it until I read the book while pregnant and thought it would be a bit too weird, seeing as the character in the book goes through some "interesting" experiences... It's also another name for Scotland I think.

I asked my friend what she thought and she said, "Reminds me of Jessica Alba," and that thought hadn't even crossed my mind. Ha.
