I just got home from spending 5 weeks in the NICU(Neonatal intensive care unit) with my daughter that was born 2 months too early. While i was there there were several babies that had unusual names or ones that i dont hear too often. Of course there were 'normal' ones as well. Let me know which ones you like, hate and why.

There were more but i forget. mostly i was friends with Evan's mom, alyssa's mom and Tru's Dad. we had no first names, we were just so&so's mom/dad.

Liberty and Talon were twins. i dont mind talon but thats just because i dated a talon in high school and his mother was Native american so it made since.

Tru - Prefer True and only as a middle name
Liberty - I've always liked Liberty but I would never use it
Destiny - This name just seems trashy to me

Leila - I love this name!
Grace - I used to love this name but it's lost it's appeal

Tru- Only True, and only as a middle name. And only on very few occasions haha I'm not too sure about this.
Liberty- Makes me think of Degrassi
Destiny- Not a fan
Talon- I like, reminds me of Laguna Beach, and that makes me not like it.
Justin- Ew. You know why :)
David- Too plain. Don't like
Karla- I knew a Karla, I liked her. Not the biggest fan of the name
May- I like Mae better and will probably use it as a middle n ame
Leila- I know a very cute baby with this name. I like it.
Grace- I know it's getting popular, but I still like it as a middle name. Not as a first name though
Alyssa- Ehh I don't really have an opinion
David- It's still too plain lol

Evan - Blech, but at least it's a name.
Tru - Millenium 'name'. I don't call this a name at all and it sounds awful.
Liberty - I don't think this is a name either.
Destiny - Ditto. Word, not name. I know some names are words, but some words should not be names.
Talon - Ew.
Justin - Fine.
David - It's fine.
Karla - Sounds fine.
May - Don't like.
Leila - Cute.
Grace - Too religious for my taste.
Alyssa - Eh..

did anyone else get the stripper vibe off of some of the names (destiny, alyssa(no offense other commenter)). I feel guilty saying that though because alyssa was such a fighter. she was 1lb 14oz at birth and had lots of heart problems, was in there 4 months and got released a few days before us weighing 6lbs 9 oz. what a chunk compared to when her dad could slip a wedding ring down her arm.

anyway, before that when i saw the name i thought stripper. i dont like the Y in it.

Destiny - Again with the stripper names! What kind of hospital were you in?!

May - It's ok. I like it spelled Mae slightly better

I checked your profile and saw that Leila is your daughter's name. I think it's really nice. (Great choice in mn, too - Rebecca's my name and I love it :)) You definitely had the pick of the bunch: other than Grace, May, David and Carla (C, not K), I don't like the rest.

i know a baby boy named talon, i kinda like the name.

i like grace and leila too. destiny and liberty sound trashy to me. the rest were just eh.

Evan - Don't like it. Don't know why.
Tru - Porn star name
Liberty - Remember back in the mid-1970's when America and Freedom became popular names? Well, this name could go right with those. To me, this is a really outdated name.
Destiny - I knew a lot of trashy people with kids named Destiny
Talon - Not sure. Kind of a porn star name. Will probably be made fun of by other kids making birds noises at him/her. Kids can be mean.
Justin - Never did care for this name.
Karla - You don't hear this name too often anymore.
May - Very pretty name!
Leila - It's alright
Grace - hmmm this name is sooo overused - both as a first and middle name. Persoanlly, I am tired of hearing it.
Alyssa - A very feminine name, but I don't think I'd name my daughter that.
David - I used to date a David...so no way.
