Girl names that start with K.
Jan. 30th, 2007 03:54 pmI am due in June with a baby girl. A friend of mine just pointed something out, suggesting that we give our daughter a name that begins with K. My husband's name is Bradley, mine is Elizabeth, and our son is Henry. She showed me this pattern: B c d E f g H i j K
Thing is, there aren't really any K names that I am particularly fond of. Suggestions?
I don't care for Kimberly, I can't use Katherine, and I don't like the K instead of C trend. Her middle name is to be Lilian.
Your ideas will be very much appreciated!

Date: 2007-01-30 09:57 pm (UTC)Just a heads-up, though: if you follow through with this and end up with a big family, child #4 would need a name that starts with Q. That's obviously not an impossible task, but the choices are pretty slim. It would be a little sad to feel you "had to" give your adorable baby a name you actually find ugly because of some coincidence with the alphabet. Know what I mean?
(Fortunately, it sounds, based on your comment to another poster, like you wouldn't actually go that far. But there are people out there who would.)

Date: 2007-02-09 05:22 pm (UTC)As a completely out-there suggestion, I know someone with the middle name Kalliope (cal-ee-OH-pee), named after one of the muses (actually, the muse was called Calliope, but I didn't think the K was too bad in this one).
Kate
Kira
Kansas (one of the few place-names that I actually like)
Kirsten
Kestrel
To be honest though I don't really like K as a first name suggestor.
