My Math teacher came in today with her new baby son. (All my teachers seem to be pregnant!) I didn't get to see the little guy, but I hear he's very cute.

His name is Kaiden. She spelled it out for us.
Personally, uck. You guys?

I think it sounds too much like 'Kaitlin'.

I prefer it as Kaden/Caden, but it's not really a name I care for either way.

That spelling does look a lot like Kaitlin and I think it looks rather feminine spelled that way.

What's up with all these -den names? Not too mention the thousands of variations of Kaden, Caden, Kaiden, etc.

I like it. It's just Aiden with a K. The only down side I see is the popularity of Aiden sounding names.

In about four years, kids in classes will all have their last name's first initial as their name.

Kaiden K.
Caden L.
Kaden V.

I know a Cadon. Pronounced the same just going against the trend of the dreaded -en.

um Cadon is certainly not going against any trend. It's basically encompassing TWO trends - the -aden names and kre8if spellings. Doubley bad.

-aden names I can deal with Caden & Hayden.
They are really blah though, i don't like K names really...

Other than Katherine, K names aren't really for me.
But sometimes you come across a really pretty one.
However, this is not one of them.

yessss that's how I feel. I dont like Katherine at all though. It's rare I lilke K name.Two I do like though- Kasia & Kezia

Kasia's a form of Katherine, in Polish. It's what my best friend is called. My favourite Katherine variation is Katarzyna. It's going to me my future daughter's name. :)

Oh, another Kaden. Joy.

What fun, huh?

When we were TTC, I looked at baby names and absolutely loved the name Kaiden (not sure which spelling I prefer) but now that I am pregnant, I am just not too sure about that name. Why? I really don't know. Maybe because it sounds somewhat feminine, maybe because it's in the "trendy" catagory...not sure.
Either way, I don't know what to think about the name at the moment.
I did read online, I think it was BabyCenter, that the name Kaiden had the one of the most different spellings of all the popular boy's names.

Which I guess is good, because the kids a few years from now are going to need some variation.

I rather like it. I think that there are only a few very vocal members here who are against the -den trend, which makes it seem like everyone feels the same way.

I prefer it spelt Caden... and it's the name I have picked out for my son who is due in 14 more weeks lol...

I don't like the name, but you now, there are cases where a completely heinous name could become beautiful to you once you see it on a baby.

The worst part is that my whole family is like "omg what a cuuuuuuuuuuute name! I've never heard it!"
