I was watching The Real Housewives of Orange County and saw the name:
Slade
I really like it, although it's a little difficult to say. What I mean is, the Sl sound with the hard A doesn't flow that easily.
Also on the show, if I remember correctly, were:
Lauri
Vicki
Danyca
Slayte (I think, please correct if I am wrong, pronounced Slate.)
Kara (Kar like car, not carrot.)
There were many others that I forgot, but those were a few I remembered.

Kara isn't that bad, but Danyca and Slayte just look odd.

Date: 2007-01-24 11:41 am (UTC)Until I saw 'Slayte', I was going to say that Slade reminded me too much of the word 'slate'. It is also homonymous with 'slayed'.. the past tense of 'slay'.
Of course, I watch a show where two (half)siblings are named Shane and Shay. But they make the explanation cute and one's a woman and the other is a little boy and they're at least 20 years apart.
