I'm watching the show Flip This House, and the couple from Atlanta just had their third daughter on the episode I'm watching. They named her Blake Ocean. That's a new one I've never heard for the boys-name-on-a-girl trend. I kind of like it, but it's too much for me to ever want to name my own future girls that. Opinions?

I have heard it on girls before and I hate it...i see it as too masculine to be a girls name

I recall hearing Blake on a girl before, but I forget where.

It's not horrible to me.

I don't mind it too much. The only other person I've heard it used for is Blake Lively, the actress that played Bridget in the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movie.

my friends little sister's name is Blake, it never bothered me since she was the only person I knew named Blake until High school when there was a guy named Blake and I was thinking how weird it was that he had a girl's name lol

I think of it as a male name. There was a big basketball player name Blake Stepp, so it has extremely masculine associations for me. If I saw a girl named Blake, I would probably be befuddled.
