Flora Alexandra stuck out for me, and I really liked the name, until my friend told me about its drastic connotations. I like Marina, but not when it's in a name ending in all a's.

Flora*.
Nothing wrong with Alexandra. Flora's the name with the bad things. :(

What are the bad connotations with Flora?

You know, aunt Flo's comin' to down, and the nickname Flor. It's a good given-name, but its nicknames leave much to be desired.

I really LOVE Marina. Marina-Charlotte is ok, although I don't like hyphenated names, so I'd prefer Charlotte as the middle name. As for Margarita...mmm, I could go for one right now!

Zenouska looks a bit out of place I must say.

Five Christian names? Three is plenty, four is too many (even for future kings, like - heaven help us - Prince Charles), but five? It looks really pretentious, trying to make up for your child 'only' being 37th in line to the throne.

These are the worst culprits:
Edward George Nicholas Patrick Paul
Marina-Charlotte Alexandra Katharine Helen
Amelia Sophia Theodora Mary Margaret
Alexandra Helen Elizabeth Olga Christabel

I love classic names, so individually I like lots of names on the list: Elizabeth, Katherine, Helena, Estella, Ellen, Alice, Andrew, Benedict, Alexander and Robert. The combinations, though, are often completely OTT.

How do they figure out who those 50 in line, are?
Are they all already alive? Or are they imaginary people with predecided names??

"Amy rose" stuck out to me because it seems so plain compared to the others, heh.

wtf@Zenouska haha.

They figure it out the same way the US has figured out the line of succession. Except this is based on the Queen's family, instead of elected/appointed politicians.

The first 12 names are the queen's immediate family, and then the rest are cousins and such. They're all alive, although I imagine there is some tradition for many of the names. After all, one of Charles' middle names is after his grandfather and William gets one from his grandfather and one (I would guess) from Earl Mountbatten (a great-uncle, I think).

Amy seems so much less...proper compared to the others.

I like Amy Rose and love Cassius Edward!

I just love it, and I don't normally just love names!

I adore Beatrice, but I wouldn't give the name to my daughter. It's one of my secret favorites. ;D

I also really like Rowan for a boy.

I always loved Zara...it just doesn't seem like a "princess-y" name :D

I LOVE Amelia Sophia. I would use it myself on a future daughter.
Cassius Edward- sounds pretty cool..
Eloise Olivia- Again I would consider this.
Gabriella Marina Alexandra Ophelia- So pretty, all of those names. A bit over the top but this is royalty! Love Ophelia.

I've always hated Eugenie Victoria Helena

Out of all those names I'd so with Amelia Sophia Eloise Olivia. Okay seriously I actually would name my daughter that!

I can imagine naming my kid Alexandra Helen Elizabeth Olga Christabel. I can only imagine her getting Carpal Tunnel Syndrome by the time she finished college. Heh.

There are a few names I like, but I love the name Rowan. :)

WTF with all the names?

But I would seriously chop off one of my legs to be royalty.
It's times like these that remind me how much I wish I was British let alone British royalty.

I like:
Zara Anne Elizabeth
Amelia Sophia Theodora Mary Margaret
Cassius Edward

I have always loved Beatrice, but I never liked the name Eugenie. I always thought it was a bit odd.

Gregers is a bizarre middle names. Sounds like a pet name for a young child.

Least favorites:
Marina-Charlotte Alexandra Katharine Helen - not a good hyphenate and way too long
Tewa Ziyane Robert George - what?

Favorites:
Elizabeth Alexandra Mary - simple and three names that I really love
William Arthur Philip Louis - I think it flows nicely, probably the best out of all the really long names.

I've loved Alexandra as a name ever since I was 7 years old. (And now for more obvious reasons; see icon.) I didn't know just how ROYAL it was until I saw how many times it was repeated in the list up there.

Sophie Amber - Amber seems like a trashy name to me, so it was surprising to see it up there. No offense to any Ambers; I've known a few brilliant ones in my time, but the name just carries stripper-like associations for me.

For some reason, I can't see Sophie Amber on a queen.
