Girl: Angel. Every Angel I have ever met has been extremely unintelligent, bitchy, and high on themselves. I am positive that there are 'Angel's' that aren't, but I have yet to meet one. Plus, it's the name of my son's father's new girlfriend. She is 18 years old, works at Hooters, and thinks that it is funny he learned the word "boobies" from her wearing low cut tops.
Boy: Morgan. I have always associated it with girls/women as opposed to men.
Michael is my dad's name - but he's the only one I've ever known that isn't a gay man or a butch girl (in one case. this girl I went to middle school with. weird)
Shari, because I don't like the flow and people have a hard time pronouncing it, and Charles, because I don't like the Ch sound that much, and it sounds like a plural word and I hate all the nicknames.
i HATE the name Gretchen. to me it sounds like a sneeze. i dont think i've ever met a boy name that i completely abhor, unless i'm reading through a baby name book or something and see like bainbridge or something like that. but nothing that stands out haha.
Male: Rusty and Dustin. They're just... ew. Female: "Mom" names that are no longer really in fashion, except to honor an older member of the family. Like Nancy, Debbie, Patty, Alice. I don't understand how they could ever have been appealing. =\
Mikayla, or however you would spell it. I'm not sure why. Probably because I knew a girl in elementry school with that name that I hated. But mostly it just sounds ugly to me.
Don/Ron and Alan. No real reason but they just sound gross to me. I even dated a Don once and while we were dating I had a hard time getting past how much I hated his name.

Date: 2007-01-17 07:33 pm (UTC)I also don't like the trend of taking random words like Rumor, Cadence, or Ember as names.
I also hate Amber, Tiffany, Becky, Nicole, Crystal, Destiny - they sound like stripper names.
I don't like taking OBVIOUS last names as first names either - Fletcher, Tudor, Anderson.
