[identity profile] miss-tee.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
Fiance said no to all the names from my last list so I'm still looking.
The other day I thought of a girl's name idea that I really am starting to like.
My mother's name is Johanna (pronounced Jo-anna) so what about Hannah?
it's part of how her name the way it is spelled but not the way it sounds, that seems kind of nice and subtle to me.
thoughts?

I love it!
It's very common now though.
I have a nine year old cousin named Hannah Vivian Mary W----.
Vivian and Mary are her grandmothers.

Exactly. It'll never go out of style.

It's a beautiful name as long as you don't mind it being one of the most common names around. I pretty sure it was in the top 10 most common US names. But if that isn't a problem, then sure it's a lovely name =]

I really like the name. It's sweet and simple and kind of subdued. I don't think I could ever use it, it wouldn't fit in my lifestyle, if that makes any sense, but I've thought of it before. If my little girl looked like this sweet angelic blondie I would have to go for it, thoug. I think it's a good tribute to your mother, I like it.

I love Hannah. I have a feeling that is going to be what we name the baby girl we're expecting this June. :)

I absolutely prefer Anna.
Hannah seems really boring to me... blah.. not really anything there to it. I'm not sure why i feel differently to it. Maybe it's because I like a lot of naems that start with Ana-
Anabelle
Anastasia
Anali
Analeiese

Oh I most definately agree with you, here! I LOVE Anna, Anastasia, Analiese (I had a classmate names Analisa, I thought it was beautiful, made me think of Mona Lisa, only much prettier!)

It's not really my style (okay I hate it, but for no good reasons) but what everyone else said is still true, it's a classic, it's subtle, it'll never go out of style (it means "graceful", I believe, so that's nice)

I vote for Johanna. Not only is Hannah waaaaay too popular (although beautiful), I am partial to Johanna because that's my name, and I love it. :)

I understand that--I wasn't replying to you, I was replying to sundayuniverse, who said that both names are her #1 and she cannot decide between them.
