What does everyone think of the name Angelo?

[Poll #904601]

I really like it. But I wonder if sounds too Italian. That's not a bad thing just neither my husband and I are.

I don't like it due to a very very hairy, rude guy I know. He's also Italian, and His surname begins ends with an O which makes it sound worse.

I like the name Angelo. My Fiance's middle name is Angelo and my grandma's name is Angelina (FH and I are both part Italian), so when we have kids, I want Angelina or Angelo as a middle name :)

the only guys named angelo I have known have been at least half italian. but I think the name is pretty well liked generally.. I mena. it's not unheard of. but it is very italian. I'd stick to using it as a middle name for now. maybe it'll cross over some day. I know a little Jude Angelo whose mom liked the name too much not to use it but thought it was too italian for a first name.

I've knew an Angelo and he was a real SOB.

I like it ok.
Only thing is it brings to mind an image of an orange fruit....because of the word tangelo. But I'm sure that's just my weirdness.

I lovelovelovelovelovelove it!

As for the Italianess, I know/know of three people with this name and only one of them has any Italian blood in him. I also used this for a character's name .
