Girls name I recently heard: Emerson Mae

Yuck- an Emma and Madison hybrid?!

I do not like it at all. Emerson is a name I wouldn't even use for a son, let alone a little girl.

It's terrible as a first name for a girl. I feel like it'd be the kind of name that in 60 years people will look back on and think "yuck" just like we do now about Bertha.

The only way I'd use it (as a middle name only) would be if I wanted to name someone after Ralph Waldo Emerson, since I loathe both Ralph and Waldo.
