How do you pronounce Beatrix?

a) Bee-ah-tricks
b) Bee-ah-triss

I've always said it the first way, but today my friend said it was pronounced the same as Beatrice. Is there a right or wrong way to say this, or does it depend on the person?

I'm confused. That's not what I read on the link I gave you. It says Beatrix is pronounced BEE-a-triKs and Beatrice is pronounced BEE-a-triss. Didnt you think Beatrix was BEE-a-triks?

I'm sorry, I've got all these names confused.
I meant that I thought it was Bee-ah-tricks for Beatrix, yes.
