How do you pronounce Beatrix?

a) Bee-ah-tricks
b) Bee-ah-triss

I've always said it the first way, but today my friend said it was pronounced the same as Beatrice. Is there a right or wrong way to say this, or does it depend on the person?

I'm more likely to go with a variation of A: bay-uh-tricks. Probably due to my background w/ the Italian language...
