So while I'm obsessed with picking possible names for future children, my fiance is not so crazy about it. But every once in awhile, I can get him to pacify me and pick through some with me. So far, the absolute ONLY name he hasn't vetoed or shown some kind of aversion to is GABRIEL. The only problem is that I'm coming up blank on a middle name of any sort that sounds good with it. There's some restrictions. I hate double initials, so nothing starting with a G or an H. And we're trying to stay away from using family names, so that eliminates Paul, Christopher, James, Michael, Vincent, Patrick, Anthony, David or Daniel. I'm open to almost anything else. Suggestions?

and just curious, why stay away from family names? those seem pretty good for middle names, to me. especially anthony & james. anyway good luck.

The family name thing is my fiance's doing. Personally, I think we're eliminating a lot of good mn's by doing that, but he says he doesn't want to hurt anyone's feelings by not naming a kid after them. I'm hoping I can change his mind though, because my dad only had me and my sister, so he was never able to pass his name [Paul] on, which I'd like to do.

Not at all! I really like Gabriel Nicholas. And Taylor is the middle name I suggested, but since I'm a huge Hanson fan, my fiance quickly vetoed that one. :-/ I like Benjamin, too. Added them to my list of possibilities. Thanks!

I like it! The name is part of a little inside joke in my family, but it still sounds really nice. LOL I'm adding it to my list. :-)

Oh, and as for Gabriel Michael, both are names of Archangels (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archangel). Just a sentiment you may want to put into consideration. Good luck =)

I do like the sound of that. It's a possibility, though I was leaning away from it because Michael is both my uncle and my cousin's name. And as a product of Catholic school all my life, I did think of the archangels thing when I first thought of the name too! LoL
