Puppy Names

My husband and I are trying to find an appropriate (human type) name for an English bulldog puppy.

I quite like the name Leon, but he's not sold on it. Does anyone have suggestions for names that are not extremely common and could fit the appearance and personality of a bulldog?

I'm partial to the name Duncan.

When we get our bulldog, we're naming him Gus.

Winston is too obvious, huh?

There's one on my block named Finn, which I think is a grand name.

Crispin
Richard
Hector
Frederick
Charles
Harold

awww, I love bulldogs and boston terriers!

I like regal sounding names for bulldogs, and I'm guessing its a boy based on Leon, so:

Charles
Winston
Napoleon
Frederick

I *really* like Frank for bulldogs. :) Though I can't say I've met any named Frank, I just think it suits them well.

Our dog is Milton. I think it's a good one :) However, we also considered Duncan.

I think he looks like a Fred or a Mercury. I know Mercury isn't what you're probably looking for...I just think Mercury/Merc sounds close enough to a name and that the technicality of it not being a name wouldn't matter since he isn't human, hehe.
