& questions..
When you hear the name Max, do you think of it as a dog/cat name?
Is there anything besides Leon/Leonard(o) that Leo could be used as a nn for?

Date: 2005-04-25 12:21 pm (UTC)If I have a boy I've been thinking of Emilio, calling him Lio for short.
I like Colton a lot, my co-worker's daughter just named her son Colter.

Max is good for a name whether it's a pet or a human. It just works.

Hmm Max does seem kind of a 'dog name' but only now you mention it.
I love Lennon nn Leo.
Don't seen why Leo couldn't stand alone though.

Leopold or Leonell (Lionel, kind of. I know someone named Leonell)

*Noah
Evan
*Colin (I like one L)
Gavin
Kieran
Benjamin
*Leo
*This is so weird, but of the 5 little boys in my preschool class, four of their names are on your list.
Leo is just Leo in our class. I asked if his real name was Leonard(o) or Leon, and they said, "Nope, just Leo." And it fits just perfectly. So if you like just Leo, go for it!

Date: 2005-04-29 12:47 am (UTC)Leopold, Leonas (Lithuanian), Leonce (French), Leoncio (Spanish), Leone (Italian), Leonti (Russian), Leontius (Greek), Leonty (Russian), Leonzio (Italian), Leos (Czech).
My favorites are ... Ethan, Mason, Evan, Chase, Colton, Kieran, Corbin, Auden and Bennett.
I like the name Avery and I know it's primarily a masculine name ... but the first person I met with that name was a little girl, so it always seems like a girl name to me.
