It's a BOY!

I had an ultrasound yesterday and they say I'm having a little boy! I am so excited.

So I someone (my boyfriend) talked me into spelling Landon with the 'O'. Because his name is Brandon. But now I am thinking that I want to name him Brandon Cole.

My bf's dad name: Timothy Mark
My bf's name: Mark Brandon

so I am thinking about caring on the terdition with a Brandon Cole. both my bf and his dad go by there middle name. So If I use this name he will be called cole.

hmmm...any thoughts?

Ehh I'm a big fan of name your child what they are to be called. I despise the middle name calling tradition that a lot of people have. It confuses the child when they start learning that (in your case) Cole is his name, but he has to use Brandon for everything professional and in schooling. It's too hard on everyone involved.

That being said, I adore the names!

my friend's boyfriend's name is Andrew Maxwell and he goes by Max, and it never was a huge problem for him.

If you're trying to go by something that is not part of your name at ALL (like I am -- Lorelei is just a name I took on, not my middle name), then i can definitely attest to stuff like that gets in the way. :\

but it seems that almost everyone accpets the 'i go by my middle name' thing. :O

I love the names, but the middle name thing is a pain in the ass. I'd go into details, but that's also a pain in the ass. I wish my parents had just called me by first name. so I hope your kid has better luck with it.
