Newbie here =)

I am glad I am not having a baby yet...because when I do, there's gonna be arguments! My husband and I hardly agree on any names LOL! We just discussed names in a heated conversation and WOW do we have different ideas of what our children should be named.

Here are some of the names we both threw into the mix in no particular order (just note: I don't like all of these, some we both liked, some I liked, and some were names that just HE liked. I am just trying to get some honest opinions):::

Boys names: Nicholas, Trent, Antonio, Tristan, Gabriel, and a couple more that I can't remember right now

Girls names: Angelina, Juliana, Kiara, Chiara, Noella, Daniela...and some we considered to a lesser degree were Monica, Isabel, Isabella, and Marisela. Ariana was a very strong possibility until it occurred to us that if you remove the "i", you have our exact last name!

Just to note (not that it should matter)...our kids will be 1/2 Italian-American and 1/2 Ecuadorian, so some of the names have been chosen for their ethnicity.

Opinions?

Gabriel is a lovely boy's name. I am having a baby and we don't know the sex of our baby but if he's a he then we'll be naming him Gabriel. If we have a girl, Madeline.

I know how you feel. I named my daughter Jocelyn thinking it was a bit different. Well, last year there were 3 jocelyns in her school, two have moved on to high school, which leaves one left. I just found out that someone I know that has a child in my daughter's class is thinking of the name Jocelyn for her girl. I loled for a while over that one.

I like Nicholas, Trent, and Antonio (favorite considering the last name) for boys and Juliana and Chiara for girls. I love Chiara, but if I ever used it I would spell it with just the "C" or possibly the "K" way.

My husband is 100% Portuguese, from the island of San Miguel (although he is adopted by a Portuguese father and French mother, so he still does have a Portuguese last name). I am French like his mother. We both like the same kinds of names, thankfully, and agree that they should flow well with our Portuguese last name.

I like Nicholas for a boy, these names are pretty but too common for my taste.

I still haven't decide on the 2 names (I want both to have middle name.)I want for a boy or girl but I have time since I'm only 16. I want my children to have ethnic names for their heritage but it's going to be kinda tricky. Since me, alone have a somewhat eccentric heritage, Spanish, Mexican, Dutch and possibly Jewish that I'm aware of.

Isabella is my name!!!
My child will also be half Italian. I love everythin Italian and especially names for girls. Even if my name weren't Isabella... I'd be pushing for it.
I also adore Nicholas.
