There's a guy on my bus with the name of Lucandrea. I'm not sure if this is a made-up name by his parents or what, but does anyone have the slightest idea of how to pronounce that?

Luke-ohn-dray-ah?

EDIT- I'd ask him, but it'd be slightly awkward.

From the way it's spelled, I would pronounce it ...

Loose - ohn - dray - ah

I would pronounce it "Luce-Andrea".

Seems pretty clear to me that it's Italian and a combination of Luca and Andrea - so, equivalent of our Luke-Andrew. I'd pronounce it Luke-AndrEa.

There are other Italian names that are two names put together into one, without hyphens or anything - Gianluca comes to mind.

Yup, that's exactly what it is. Gianfranco and Lanfranco are other examples.

Luk-an-DRAY-a (it's not quite as 'oo'ish as the English Luke, and it's not 'on' in the second syllable, it's an like Ann).

Sounds like a Hollywood couple - Lucas and Andrea. Like Brangelina or Bennifer.

I'd probably guess luke-an-drey-uh.
