for a girl, I LOVE Claire.  My mom's middle name is Lynn, so I'd like to use that but Claire Lynn doesn't flow all that well.  Clara Lynn sounds too much like Carolyn to me.

What's a good -lyn name to go with Claire?  If it makes any difference my daughter's name is Adria Danielle and Carol/Caroline/Lynn are family names.

What about Evelyn (Eh-velyn, not EE-velyn), or Brooklyn (a little long, but in proportion to your older daughter's first/last letter count)(and yes, Brooklyn might be overdone, but I like it as a MN)

I love Claire too.

What about:
Claire Lynnette
Claire Linnea (It doesn't have the Y spelling but "Lynn" is really evident in the pronunciation- Lynn-AY-uh)
Claire Evelyn
Claire Gwendolyn
Claire Rosalyn

I like Claire Lynnette and Claire Linnea best to honor your mother, and I think they sound to best.

I love Claire too spelled Clare but still :) I was thinking Claire Evelyn sounds really pretty but also using Claire as the middle name is great too!

Madelyn Claire and Evelyn Claire are my favs!

Im using it as Meredith Clare :)

My name is Claire :)

I was going to suggest Claire Lynette... because "ette" is just a diminutive suffix as far as I know, so in a sense it probably just means "little Lyn", whereas other names that have Lyn on them are added to completely different names with other meanings. So Lynette is just another form of Lyn whereas something like say, Caitlin, is more related to another name (Kathleen), than to Lyn. I hope I explained that right haha...

The name Claire is very classic and beautiful. However, lyn *in* a name to honour a Lynn seems like a stretch. I know people try to do this thing all the time, but if it were me, I wouldn't feel very honoured (don't mean to be blunt..just honest). I like Claire Danielle or Claire Denise. I can't think of any lyn names I'm fond of..
