Kahikilakahauolaokalahou So can anyone tell me how on earth this childs name is pronounced?? I found it on the hospitals web nursery page.

Opinions on the name Heaven Lee? apparently this is the name given to my new neice.

It would be more unique if they chose Nevaeh Eel.

I think it's tacky.
The worst thing is, "Heaven Lee" has been done so many times and each new baby given this name has parents that thought they were being original by using a play on words in their daughters name... it's irritating

If I were named Heaven Lee, I'd pretend my middle name was Emma, and go by that. I would never tell ANYONE my middle name.

What I love most about that name is it has 24 or so characters and only 6 letters. That's so great. In a not so much kinda way.

I assume the first name is of Hawaiian origin because I think I've seen it before and that's what my brain connects it with.
Kah-hee-lah-ka-ha-ooo-la-oh-ka-la-how is my guess.

I think your neice's parents read too much VC Andrews.

It's traaaashy. V.C. Andrews would definitely not be what I would want people to associate with my kid's names.

Kahikilakahauolaokalahou is a Hawai'ian name. Heaven Lee is quite trashy, IMO, but it could have been worse. Precious Princess Lee comes to mind.

and heaven lee is appalling. sorry you'll have to try to say that one with a straight face.

Heaven Lee is far from being Heavenly. What an awful name. Though I did know a girl named Heather who went by Hev or Hevs, so there's a possible semi-cute nickname.

It's funny because everyone says Heaven Lee has been over done, but I've yet to MEET a Heaven. I think it's actually pretty.

As for Kahikilakahauolaokalahou, she will probably just go by K! ;)

who knows how its pronounced but my guess would be its a cultural thing. Maybe she has roots in another country. There is a girl I met this year named, Kuuikalanakpanu and she goes by Kuu.

Heaven Lee - congratulations, they managed to find a name tackier than "Nevaeh."

Heaven Lee is too V.C. Andrews for me.

The Kahi... name is probably Hawaiian, and I'm sure it means something pretty, but it'll be a bitch to fit onto forms.

Aaaarg, for some reason, I quite like Heaven (On it's own!!). I think it's just because of the Carrie Asai books though..

I like them both. I'm sure K has a beautiful meaning to it....and Heaven, although not my number one is a nice name.

With Hawaiian names you pronounce every letter, so "Kahikilakahauolaokalahou" would be pronounced:

"Kah-hee-kee-lah-kah-hah-oo-oh-lah-oh-kah-lah-hoe-oo"
