We went to our family Christmas party. My brother in law recently found out that he had a three year old son and that son sat next to me at the table. He must have eaten too much food, because he started vomiting right next to me. Other than the grossness of that, they kept repeating his full name. I guess since he is new to the family, I never really observed what they were saying.

His name is Aidan Storm.

That makes me want to puke.

::facepalm::

I know a couple who wanted to name their baby Aidan Hunter, because the father....likes to hunt.

But they're having a girl instead, and her name will be Emma Grace. Like thats any better.

Great, Emma is #2 on the most popular American names for babies this year. And it was #1 last year. I guess their kid gets an overused name either way.

Thats pretty much what I was thinking. I was so mad about Aidan at first, because for the longest time my SO and I had agreed on it.

Then we realized how overused it was, and decided to scrap that idea. However, as soon as this girl became pregnant, ZOMG! Aidan became the name that she totally thought up all on her own. Though she claimed to hate it when I mentioned it ::eye roll::

::laughs hysterically::

Sometimes, I just love to hear the weird/stupid things that people come up with.

I knew a sibset in high school who were named....Forrest and Kelly Green. No lie. And it figures that both of their parents were art teachers!

I like it minus the popularity.

What I think is weird is how they insist on using his full name. That sounds super pretentious - particularly when Storm is the middle name.

My dad wanted to name me Storm (after the X-Men) and stuck with it until a few hours before I was born.

I hate it.

i quite like Aidan Storm. (but i hate the trend-fact)
I think Storm is a cool masculin name (mainly because "storm" is the dutch word for "tempest")
