Our boy names

I'm pregnant, due in July. The girl name is decided on... there are a few options that we are considering for boy names.

In no particular order...

Milo
Cal (It is short for Calvin, but I really like just Cal... he would probably end up as Calvin Laurence.)
Bruce
Jonathan

I love Calvin Laurance/Lawrence.
I also love Jonathan. My ex's name is John Sterling [goes by Johnny even in adulthood], but I always thought Jonathan/John sounded so cool with Sterling, haha.

Milo - This is the one I like the best.
Cal - It doesn't paint a pretty picture in my head
Bruce - Classy, Elegant at first I didn't like it but it quickly grew on me
Jonathan - this is ok

I like Jonathan, and I think Calvin Laurence (Cal) would make a nice name too. I like Laurence better than Lawrence also.

I really don't like Bruce or Milo. If you ever plan on living in Australia, don't use them, especially Milo. Bruce is just a very stereotypical name when parodying a certain type of man, and Milo is an extremely common drink here (to the degree that you'll often hear "Would you like tea, coffee or milo?"). But otherwise I imagine that those names would be fine where you live otherwise you wouldn't be choosing them, so they are probably good names too, I just can't like them because of these connotations.

i really like cal, but i'm not a fan of calvin. it could also be short for caleb or callum. as for milo, bruce & jonathan..eh.

Anthony- I like it, but it is my brother's name!
Elias- Kind of...
Elliott- I really like this name...
Elijah- I like it, but I can't see myself using it
Nathaniel- Love it! We already have a Nathan in the family, though.
Owen- I really like this name. It was on the list during my last pregnancy. Maybe it should go back on the list...along with Elliott!
Simon- I would like this name, but our girl name is definately Simone (family name), so it wouldn't really work if we have a boy this time, and then a girl, because he would already have her name!

I love Milo - that would be my sons name if it were not for the fact that since one of my husband's ex-coworkers named his son Milo. For some reason since he knows someone with a son that name he does not want to name him that even though he's not seen this person in years. Oh well - we're naming this little guy Orion once he pops out :)

I like Milo and Cal lots. Cal is probably my favourite. Jonathan is nice, but very plain to me; Bruce sounds grown-up and almost too sharp in sound, and I don't like it generally. But Calvin Laurence with Cal as a nickname is just wonderful, I love it.

milo mattox, the alliteration is too cool. i usually hate the matching first & last initials, but i really like how that sounds. i don't like bruce or johnathon, and between calvin & milo, i prefer milo.
