Nickname for a very female Roxanne.

All I get when I see that is thirteen year olds on myspace saying "rox my sox!" So no. Not a good name, in my opinion. Plus when you hear it without seeing it, it brings "rocks" to mind.

Yuck.

I enjoy individuality, the boy could wear it well.

Rox makes me think of Roxie, a nn for Roxanne. I knew a boy in high school named Rocky, though, which wasn't HORRIBLE.

I had never heard of that phrase until I read your comment earlier and then it was on CSI tonight- weird!

I don't like it.

I don't like it.
It's a nickname for Roxanne.
Plus "dumber than a box of.." is one of the first things I think of.
I love Rex, could I sell you on Rex?

rocks.

......I dont like it..

[identity profile] krosp.livejournal.com 2006-12-08 12:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Is it a common name where you come from? It doesn't suit English speaking countries very well, it seems. What about Rex?

[identity profile] krosp.livejournal.com 2006-12-09 12:24 am (UTC)(link)
Mmm I think Roxy is a lot better than Rox.

[identity profile] seren.livejournal.com 2006-12-08 12:50 pm (UTC)(link)
would it be short for anything? it sounds like a nickname for roxanne to me, and it doesn't sound very masculine. not keen i'm afraid, unless it's short for something else.

I think, "Ugh."

[identity profile] sotypical42483.livejournal.com 2006-12-08 04:12 pm (UTC)(link)
as in Rocks? That is hideous.

[identity profile] corielcries.livejournal.com 2006-12-08 06:10 pm (UTC)(link)
It looks like Rocks with an x. Like Jack spelled Jax.

Rox on a boy? Ungly!!! Rox is a nickname for an even uglier name- Roxanne.

[identity profile] katelovesyou.livejournal.com 2006-12-08 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
it sounds like a name for a dog.
