Dec. 6th, 2006 08:02 pmWhat do you all think of giving a little girl Jane as her middle name? I really love uncommon names, but I thought it would be kinder to my child to give an uncommon first name and a more common middle name so that they could always go by their middle name if they wanted to. I actually like Jane despite it being the quintessential female name.

Date: 2006-12-06 10:08 pm (UTC)It's not so very common now, I was the only one in my school until this year. Having said that, though, when I was four I had to go to hospital and of the eight nurse I saw, only one was not called Jane. Her name was Janet.
That said, it's a good name. Impossible to take the piss out of, really.
