Pregnant and naming my fetus Brandon Lucas.

But, if the ultrasound was wrong and he happens to come out a little girl, it'll be Adelaide Juliet.

Thank you, I adore both names.
I thought of Juliet for the first name but I am too in love with Adelaide. :]

For a girl the names came from (first) a name we saw and heard before I got pregnant that we both liked and (middle) both of our mother's middle name. For a boy (first) named after my best friend who died in high school and (middle) both of your father's first name.

I wanted names for my kids that were easy to spell, recognizable by the general population, but names I'd never met anyone else with. The last is easy, since I don't get out much. LOL

How? Well.. the nurse came in with paperwork for the first, and we filled it out. The second time, my midwife gave us the paperwork and we mailed it in to the clerks office ourselves.
I thought you were asking how we picked the names.. which is how I answered.
Or were you asking what we named them?
In which case, the answer is Ivy Violet and Leah Juliet.

kinda long, sorry

Kailey? Cailen? Cailet(slient 't')?

We just came up with names while we were pregnant. Everyone loved our daughter's name-- Brenna Rose-- and always asked if it was a family name. I would tell them no, we just liked it. Of course, when I first saw the name Brenna the definition of it was given as "flame", and I love fire and the color red so that was another reason I liked it. And my favorite flowers are roses. So.. Flame Rose. Only problem is I can't find that original source and every other one I find says it means 'raven' or 'raven-haired'. Oh, and I have red hair and was hoping/pretty sure that my daughter would have red hair as my husband's sister has red hair too and my husband has red in his beard.

Her name would have been David Christopher if she'd been a boy. We really just liked the name. One day we were bouncing name ideas back and forth and I said "David Christopher" (after saying I'd always like the name Christopher, but since I had two exes named Chris and it's my brother's middle name, I didn't want to name a child that). There is also a Pedro the Lion song 'Lullabye' that we liked and the baby in the song is named David (the name of the singer' son, but we weren't like naming the baby after him or anyting). We also just like biblical names.
We're not sure if we're going to use David Christopher down the road or not. Part of me feels weird about it since it was 'her' name (she is deceased) and another part of me doesn't like it as much anymore. But my husband still loves it.. so.
We aren't even planning on TTC for at least another year and we already have a probable girl-name picked out. I really like it and don't want to share it until we use it, but it is name we heard in a movie and I just fell in love with it. It is unusual, but not weird or kr8tive. Aside from the person the movie was about (it was a semi-fictional biography of two authors from the 40s(?) that dated), I've never heard or seen the name anywhere. I was hoping to us a flower middle-name since Brenna had one(actually 'Brenna Rose' was her full first name, but we don't plan on giving all of our kids 3 names like we did with her. I was on a lot of morphine and her middle name was Sherman after my very recently (at the time)deceased cat. I thought and thought and the only thing I could come up with was Dahlia, which my husband hated, but recently I came up with Esme which we love.
