Would it be terrible of me...
Dec. 3rd, 2006 12:28 pm...to give my children names that belonged to some of my favorite authors?
Emily Charlotte (f)- for the Bronte sisters.
James Eliot (m)- for James Joyce and TS Eliot.
Austen Wolff (m)- for Jane Austen and Virginia Wolff.
I've thought of other combinations, but I can't remember any of them off the top of my head at the moment. I should really make a list...
Anyway, this is something that I've wanted to do for a good long while, now, and my husband has never been against it, but he's never really agreed either.
What do you think?

Date: 2006-12-03 05:39 pm (UTC)That would be terrible, since it's spelled Woolf.
Austen Woolf would be a great name.
Actually, I like all your names.

Austen I like, Woolf/Wollf, not so much...Maybe if it were spelt Wolf, but I know thats not how the author spells her name, so.. :)

Date: 2006-12-03 10:34 pm (UTC)The third wouldn't be so bad, except I imagine it would be slightly uncomfortable for a boy to have to repeat, "It's Austen, as in Jane" his whole life.. LOL
