After watching Oprah yesterday and listening to Julia Roberts (I love her) talk about her two adorable twins I fell in love with the name Finn.. not so much Finneaus but I like just plain Finn... I ran it by the FI and he also likes it, which seriously shocks me but Im just going to go with it.. We aren't having kids anytime soon, but Id like your opinions on the name Finn.

any middle name combos?

Im also liking Graham and Grayson lately but FI doesn't like either.

I was watching baby story today and this couple named their daughter Greyson because that was the name of the place they met.

I hate it. Because it reminds me of fish, and fish stink. LOL
I think her son is named Phinneaus though.. Not sure on the last couple letters, but I'm pretty sure it's spelled with a Ph.
I like Graham a lot.

What does FI stand for?

I prefer it spelled Phineas [I'm a Ph-phile]. Finn strikes me a pretty neutral.

Funny that you mention Phil/ip. My brother's name is Philip and we call him Phil. Only until I was about 7 did i make fun of his "fill" nickname. I see it as just a regular nickname. I personally don't think Finn as a nickname would be weird at all. And for my own peace of mind, here's some info on Phineas:

The boy's name Phineas. Possibly from the Hebrew name Pinchas, meaning "oracle." The literal meaning of the source form is "serpent's mouth", and indicates a type of oracle. The name may also derive from an ancient Egyptian name, Panhsj, meaning "the Nubian." Showman Phineas T. Barnum; violinist Pinchas Zuckerman.

Phineas has 8 variant forms: Fineas, Phinehas, Pincas, Pinchas, Pinchos, Pincus, Pinhas and Pinkus.

I think she spells it with a Ph???

Anyway, I like it. I also don't care for the full version, but I am a fan of Finn!

Graham is all right. It makes me think "cracker," though. Grayson - baaad association for me

I LOVE Finn but my husband's last name means anything that ends with an "n" is out.

I think Finn needs a longer middle ... Finn Everett, Finn Tobias, Finn Alexander.

Finn is a great name. I like it with a longer middle name: Alexander, Christopher, Benjamin, Avery, Gabriel, Elijah.

I like Grayson, too, but I think I prefer the spelling Greyson. Probably because I prefer the spelling "grey" to "gray" for some completely unknown reason.
